I'm Going to Africa! {Personal Post}

So the Hubs and I are going on a mission trip to Durban, South Africa, and we leave TOMORROW!!! God helped us raise all of the money, and just that has made my faith grow so much. I am soooo very excited to see what God is going to do over there, because I know it's going to be something huge! If you think of us, please say a prayer :) If you email/fb/message or comment, I won't be able to respond until around August 8th, so don't get mad, ok?

I had my first official newborn shoot with Baby Eli! He is also my first "Baby's First Year" client, so will be showing up often! I looooove these images-they are so SWEET! He just kept sleeping through it all-little cutie :)

Daniel and Andrea {Wedding Day}

Daniel and Andrea's wedding was BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE outdoor weddings, and this venue was gorgeous! The Bridal Party was hilarious and so fun to work with :D Bride and Groom were so sweet and had great, creative ideas. The dancing was off the CHARTS!!! haha! Great wedding, great night! Jake and Ally {Engagement Session}

I was totally inspired by this Engagement Session. I'm not sure why I loved it sooo very much, but we just kept shooting-I couldn't stop! They were down for anything--lay in the grass? sure! Go down a rickety bridge? sure! Hang out in a creepy warehouse? sure! I absolutely love these images. Big thanks to my beautiful couple, Ally and Jake!

Mariah {Senior Session}

Everything was in Beautiful Bloom whenever we took Mariah's pictures! I looove the colors in these pics! Her boyfriend (who I got to photograph last year) came along for some pics together, and a cap and gown shot. We had a great time, until we almost ran into some snakes! YIKES!

Rachel and Friends! {Prom/ Family Session}

I had the pleasure of taking Rachel's Senior Portraits, then, they asked me to come before prom and take group/family pictures! This was actually my first time doing something like this, and I loved it! Boutonnieres, corsages, manicures, limousines--love it all! Manicures these days are so much cooler than when I was in highschool--hot pink tips with black lines and little diamond rhinestones....amazing! Many of you know, but I teach high school full time, so when I was done with the pics, I had to go chaperone the dance-haha!

Kayleigh {Senior/ Family Session}

Kayleigh and I always have fun together, and this was no exception! We did a previous Senior Shoot, but she wanted to do some cap and gown pics. She brought her sisters along on this shoot. I love watching sisters together! Lots of laughs, giggles and picking on each other-- Reminds me of my sisters and I :D

Ali {Maternity Session}

Not a lot of pregnant women want to move around and go wherever I want, but Ali was a trooper! She and her husband, Eric, let me be creative, and I love the outcome!! Emma (the dog) even posed for us!--she was so sweet :) Thanks, Ali and Eric for a great, fun shoot!!

Morgan {Senior Session}

Morgan made it easy to get great pictures, since she is so GORGEOUS!!!! I love her fashion sense, her eyes, and she's got a great smile :D She wanted a field of yellow flowers, and we found them! We did, however, have to dodge horse manure, and I didn't dodge it very well...oops. I love how the images came out--it was hard to choose which ones to post, because they were all so great! FCA Girls {Prom Session}

My FCA Girl leaders agreed to be my models for a Prom photoshoot! It was really fun! They are all beautiful on the inside and out. We got yelled at by a psycho lady ("Private Property!!").....good times. I LOVE my FCA girls :D

I had the honor of being a part of Jeff and Amanda's wedding a couple months ago! You can just look at them and know that they adore each other. Their ceremony was beautiful and personal, and honored God in every way. At one point they invited friends and family to pray over them on stage! This was actually my first chance to take someone's Engagement Portraits, Bridal Portraits and Wedding Day Photos. It was really cool to see the whole journey come together :D Jeff and Amanda, I am so happy for y'all! Thanks for letting me be a part!

Happy New Year!!! Well, 2009 was such a great year for me! I learned a lot about photography and editing. I got my website up and running. I was also able to buy some new equipment, which really bumped up the quality of my product. I fell more in love with photography and all that goes along with it. And it was all thanks to YOU, my clients! Thank you for trusting me with your memories. I truly enjoyed working with each and every one of you! I am very much looking forward to whatever 2010 may bring. I hope to have the privilege of documenting the significant moments in your life in 2010 as well. Justin is a handsome senior who has a great smile. I just remember laughing the whole time, from getting interrupted by Luke the donkey (who apparently wanted to be a part of the shoot--you'll see below) to getting honked at many times on the side of the street :D I had a blast!!

I enjoyed meeting up with Tim and Halena the other day! We got major mosquito bites, and the cops pulled up on us, but other than that...it was awesome :D haha! I love Halena's fashion--seriously, I want to raid her closet! And I love watching Tim and Halena interact with each other. I also got to meet their 2 dogs, who were very CUTE! I got a new camera and new lens last week and wanted to try them out, so I called my sister, Amanda. I found out 2 things: 1. Amanda is a GREAT model. I had so much fun on Jacob and Saralynn's photoshoot in Hammond the other day! They had great ideas for posing and it was fun to work together and get everyone's creative juices flowing. I did a spontaneous photoshoot the other day with 2 gorgeous sisters. It was a blast--they were so fun to work with, and I got to use my new yellow chair prop :) We also frollicked and met a horse and buggy guy...good times.
